We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Child and Family Worker to join our team at Essex County Council. As a Specialist Child and Family Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families who experience difficulties and inequalities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide practical and specialist advice to children and families with complex needs.
- Act as a lead coordinator for other support services, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage safeguarding risks to children, prioritizing their welfare and well-being.
- Take the lead on an area of professional practice, such as mental health, supporting team members and liaising with external professionals.
- Operate flexibly to meet the needs of families, working out of normal office hours when required.
- Significant practical experience of working with children and families with multiple and complex needs.
- Effective communication skills, able to engage with a range of children, families, and professionals.
- Ability to keep records on our computer-based system, complete assessments, and other key documents in a professional manner.
- A driving license and car or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means.
