ROLE OVERVIEW

In the modern automotive landscape, the In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system plays a crucial role in enhancing user interaction. The development of Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) for IVI systems is vital in shaping the overall customer experience.

To improve efficiency and streamline our development processes, we are revamping our approach to HMI design and delivery. By internalizing more responsibilities in HMI design and development, we aim to enhance software quality, reduce iteration times, and minimize bugs.

As an HMI software engineer, you will be key in delivering HMI software within an agile environment. You will collaborate closely with our HMI design teams to balance design flexibility with software performance, ensuring an outstanding user experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop HMI software for advanced Instrument Cluster and Heads-up display products as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and system engineers to produce high-quality software products using a robust build pipeline.
  • Ensure code quality by addressing bugs, conducting code reviews, and implementing automated testing and documentation.
  • Work with team members to improve existing development and testing methodologies.
  • Engage with Software Testers to guarantee the flawless functionality and presentation of applications.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Proven experience as a 3D developer with tools such as Unity or Godot, supported by a strong portfolio.
  • Expertise in managing game assets, including meshes, animations, materials, and shaders.
  • Experience in profiling and optimizing game and rendering performance on both GPU and CPU levels.
  • Ability to rapidly create and iterate prototypes that showcase innovative designs and interaction patterns.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git, essential programming tools and paradigms, and understanding common design patterns.
