We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our retail team at National Trust. As a key member of our buying team, you will play a crucial role in driving the commercial growth of our Fashion, Children's & Outdoor business.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the buyer to develop and implement buying strategies that meet commercial targets.
- Identify and develop new opportunities to grow the business, including new product lines and suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of buying plans.
- Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality products and competitive pricing.
- Contribute to the development of range plans, product specifications, and pricing strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in buying or a related field, with a strong understanding of commercial principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
As a member of our retail team, you will have the opportunity to work with a passionate and dedicated team of professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be based at our head office in Swindon, with flexibility to work from other locations as needed.
