Elevation Recruitment Group's Technical division is working with a new business within the Hydrogen sector who are looking to appoint a talented and experienced Process Engineer to assist with the design and optimization of its Hydrogen production reactor and system. In this role, you will have technical ownership over the process equipment, including specifying units, assisting with integration and generating standard operating procedures. These process units will include compressors, heat exchangers, composition sensors, valves, filters, etc. In particular, we are seeking someone with relevant experience with Hydrogen applications, solids handling, and microwave processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and specify equipment for the Hydrogen generator.
  • Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Generate engineering documentation, including technical specification documents, equipment/valve lists, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Communicate with vendors to source process equipment.
  • Assist in the generation of procedures and risk assessment documentation.
  • Operate equipment in a Research and Development (R&D) setting.
  • Analyze datalogger files to improve system performance.
  • Participate in Health and Safety (H&S) meetings and report potential issues or improvements in the company's H&S practices.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in Hydrogen applications, solids handling, and microwave processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge of process equipment, including compressors, heat exchangers, and composition sensors.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
