Mechanical Process Engineer

AndersElite is seeking a skilled Mechanical Process Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of project scope, working closely with the Design Manager to ensure successful project outcomes.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Managing the delivery of nuclear process work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule, and cost.
- Responsible for managing the technical aspects of nuclear process engineering packages from identification to handover.
- Developing, leading, and managing technical design packages, agreeing project-related objectives, managing designer performance, and making appropriate technical management responses.
- Providing Subject Matter Expert advice as per discipline.
- Ensuring that design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.
- Planning for effective project implementation, identifying key factors, and leading the project's technical planning process.
- Ensuring effective Quality Management Arrangements, operating, and delivering through compliance with the client's Business Management System and Technical Manual.
- Ensuring that processes and activities being managed are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and configuration and quality controls applied.
- Ensuring that staff and contractors are familiar with the hazards and risks associated with the work undertaken by the delegated engineering team through effective management and communication of the Risk Assessment.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. Chartered Engineer status and membership of the relevant institute, or significant demonstrable engineering experience capable of registration with the Engineering Council at CEng level, is preferred.
Nuclear Knowledge:- Nuclear Introductory Course or equivalent nuclear and/or marine system knowledge.
- Design and substantiation of process engineering solutions to relevant codes for satisfying Nuclear Safety Functions, with particular experience in dock structures preferred.
- Knowledge of process design of large-scale industrial plant.
- Knowledge of construction techniques employed for Nuclear Safety-related process systems.
- Sound project specification, planning, project management, and budgeting experience.
- Sound understanding of Company and departmental procedures relating to Design, Health & Safety, and Quality requirements, and ability to manage projects in accordance with these procedures.
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering office computer applications.
- Experience of the design support to construction, operation, refit/repair of conventional and nuclear submarines and/or facilities.
