Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine servicing and maintenance of boilers.
• Prepare Steam, CHP, and Hot Water boilers for annual insurance assessments and/or NDE examinations.
• Execute hydraulic testing on boilers and/or economizers.
• Perform internal and external cleaning of boilers, including fire and water sides.
• Rebuild and reinstate boilers post-inspection and testing.
• Carry out minor refractory repairs and reinstatement/removal of refractory materials.
• Coordinate with clients and insurance examiners to ensure readiness for inspections.
• Collaborate with service coordinators to address any additional work or materials needed.
• Ensure safe operation and return of boilers to service in conjunction with clients.
• Oversee the safety of any assigned trainee or apprentice engineers.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste materials and maintain cleanliness in the boiler house.
• Report any outstanding issues upon completion of work.
• Complete and submit all necessary documentation within agreed timelines, including job reports and expenses.

Candidate Requirements:
• Essential Mechanical Qualification
• Experience and knowledge of steam boilers and associated equipment preferred
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program
• Valid UK Driving Licence (maximum of 3 points)
• Confined Space Medium Risk Qualification is advantageous
• Recognized Safety Passport Qualification (CCNSG)
• Gas Qualifications such as CCN1 and CODNCO1, or COCN1, CIGA1, ICPN1, CDGA1, TPCP1A, BMP1, CONGLP1PD are beneficial but not mandatory
• Electrical experience and knowledge or qualification (TPBN1_UKTJ) is a plus.
