Rutherford is excited to present a remarkable opportunity for a Paralegal to become a vital part of our hedge fund client's legal team based in London. The ideal candidate will engage in a diverse range of projects and should possess a solid understanding of the documentation related to fund establishment and structuring. This position is designed for junior professionals eager to learn under the guidance of a highly esteemed legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of legal documentation across the firm and implement updates to the document management system.
- Handle various corporate administrative tasks for the firm's legal entities across different jurisdictions.
- Review and condense essential contractual terms, including confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure agreements, side letters, and terms of business.
- Analyze and summarize transaction documentation for specific investments.
- Coordinate various workstreams associated with quarterly board and committee meetings, including the preparation and distribution of meeting minutes and related materials.
- Take charge of customer due diligence review processes and new client onboarding protocols.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings promptly with the FCA, SEC, and other relevant regulatory authorities.
- Assist in the periodic compliance testing of firm policies and procedures, including personal account dealing reviews and communications surveillance, as well as screening of the firm's vendors and service providers.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a paralegal in a prestigious UK or US law firm or in an in-house role within an investment management firm. Candidates with a background in investment funds will be given preference.
- An excellent academic record from a reputable university.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- A strong sense of accountability and intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to comprehend complex material accurately and concisely.
