EJ Legal Limited is a leading law firm in the City of London, offering a wide range of legal services to clients across the globe. We are currently seeking an experienced Investment Funds Paralegal to join our team on a 6-12 month contract.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our top-ranked Investment Funds team, advising on a wide range of fund-related work, including private equity, private debt, real estate, mezzanine, venture, credit, infrastructure, funds of funds, distressed and special situations, and activist funds. The team also advises on the structuring of carried interest, co-investment and other incentive schemes, secondary transactions, and fund restructurings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing fund documents
  • Maintaining trackers and checklists on various aspects of the funds process for a large number of investors
  • Preparing and managing virtual data rooms
  • Reviewing, filing and circulating countersigned documents to clients, investors and administrators
  • Preparing and submitting Companies House filings
  • Drafting corporate authorisations
  • Liaising with specialist regulatory counsel
  • Carrying out winding up / insolvency searches
  • Preparing opinion and closing bibles

About You

We are looking for an experienced Investment Funds Paralegal who has:

Been educated to LLB/GDL level (or equivalent)Prior experience in Investment Funds is preferred, but those with more general Finance or Corporate/M&A experience are encouraged to applyExperience of managing CP checklists, Companies House filings and drafting board minutes is key

What We Offer
