Position Overview

Field Service Operations Coordinator required to join a leading global engineering manufacturer.

Role Summary: The Field Service Operations Coordinator will be primarily office-based, responsible for the effective planning and scheduling of Field Service Engineers' assignments. This role involves providing essential service support, managing inventory control, and maintaining communication with both customers and the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the daily activities of Field Service Engineers to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Engage with customers via phone to schedule appointments and discuss service needs.
  • Assist in preparing quotations for service repairs and maintenance agreements.
  • Utilize the company’s ERP system for order processing, parts ordering, and scheduling of field service tasks.
  • Oversee the management of spare parts orders, supplier invoice approvals, and inventory control as needed.
  • Coordinate on-call schedules and manage annual leave for the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with various engineering departments to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a coordination, scheduling, or service support role within an engineering environment.
  • Proven ability to maintain professional relationships with both existing and prospective customers.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with platforms such as Tavant, Oracle, or SAP is a plus.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to assist in inventory management and stores operations, with forklift training provided.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: £26,000 - £30,000 based on experience.
  • Pension plan.
  • Additional benefits including onsite parking.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.

Full training will be provided to ensure success in this role.
