Job Summary

IDEX Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Technical Actuarial Pensions Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our GB Retirement practice, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our exciting growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide actuarial expertise on core UK defined benefit pensions, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies for large teams and projects.
  • Coach and mentor junior associates, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Work independently and as part of client teams, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Take ownership of your work, demonstrating a strong sense of accountability and pride in your accomplishments.
  • Continuously challenge yourself and seek opportunities to step outside your comfort zone, driving innovation and excellence in your work.
  • Think critically and strategically, understanding how your work contributes to the broader business landscape.

Requirements

  • Experience in core UK defined benefit actuarial work, with a strong understanding of pension schemes.
  • Progression towards Fellowship of the IFoA, with a minimum of Associate or CAA qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong client-service orientation.
  • Proven project management skills, with experience leading large teams and projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
