About the Role

We are seeking a qualified actuary to join our team as a pensions consultant. As a key member of our team, you will work on core UK defined benefit actuarial work, providing advice on regular valuations, accounting, PPF levies, individual calculations, and factor reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on client teams and with colleagues from other offices to deliver high-quality actuarial services.
  • Contribute to innovative, market-leading projects such as integrated risk management, liability management, GMP equalisation, and plan design strategy.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues, providing excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Take an active interest in the development of more junior staff, delegating effectively and providing development opportunities through mentoring.

Requirements
  • Experience working as a qualified actuary on core UK defined benefit actuarial work.
  • IFoA qualified actuary (or equivalent).
  • Strong client-service orientation, with excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Proven experience of project management of large teams and projects.
  • Proven delegation skills and a desire to coach and mentor junior colleagues.
