We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Electoral Services Manager to join our team at Shared Services Partnership. As a key member of our electoral services team, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of elections and voter registration in our borough.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Electoral Services Manager in strategic planning, organization, and day-to-day delivery of electoral registration, the annual electoral registration canvass, and elections.
- Work closely with the team to ensure the smooth delivery of electoral services, including voter registration and elections.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, political parties, and other electoral stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on electoral law and procedures to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of electoral policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Substantial knowledge of electoral law and procedures.
- Experience in electoral services, including voter registration and elections.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Politically aware and able to interpret and apply electoral law.
