About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Education/Deputy Headteacher to join our team at Options Autism School in Epsom, Surrey. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Complex Needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a high-quality education service that meets the needs of our students, in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Head Teacher and leadership team to secure high standards throughout the school.
  • Act as the lead teacher for the positive support of behaviour that may challenge, and work with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the well-being of our students.
  • Monitor progress and targets to ensure that each individual student can achieve planned outcomes.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience of teaching pupils and young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition and/or challenging behaviours.
  • Relevant experience of teaching pupils and young people with Complex Needs.
  • Experience of managing staff and budgets effectively.
  • Degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
