About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Headteacher/Head of Education to join our team at Skylarks School. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational vision and direction of our school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of our students with Autistic Spectrum Condition and/or challenging behaviors.
  • Work closely with the Head Teacher and leadership team to ensure the school's educational goals are achieved.
  • Manage and coordinate the curriculum across the school, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Provide leadership and support to teachers and staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to meet the needs of our students.
  • Monitor student progress and targets, ensuring that each individual student achieves planned outcomes.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience of teaching pupils and young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition and/or challenging behaviors.
  • Relevant experience of teaching pupils and young people with complex needs.
  • Experience of managing staff and budgets.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
