Additional Resources is a dynamic firm that specializes in providing exceptional services to the heavy goods trailer industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Workshop Controller to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional to oversee the daily operations of our fleet workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient workflow of our workshop, maintaining quality standards for repairs, and managing a team of workshop staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workshop Operations:
    • Plan and allocate workload to workshop staff to maximize productivity.
    • Ensure maintenance and repair of heavy goods trailers from the Rental Fleet and customer-owned trailers.
    • Maintain quality standards for repairs across both branches/workshops, on the roadside, or at customer premises.
  • Team Management:
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of workshop staff to ensure efficient workflow.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff to improve their skills and performance.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that repairs meet our high standards.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to maintain quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in managing HGV trailer workshops.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of heavy goods trailer maintenance and repair.
  • Education:
    • Relevant qualifications in a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering, automotive technology).
