Job Opportunity

LGC Ltd, a leading international life sciences company, is seeking a skilled Technology Transfer Manager to join its Grant Management Group. The successful candidate will work closely with researchers and officials to support the commercialisation of intellectual property assets, promote industrial engagement, and manage a reagents portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects related to IP management and commercialisation
  • Work with legal and patent subcontractors to resolve IP and commercialisation cases
  • Gather data and provide analysis to support business cases for IP commercialisation
  • Deliver training on IP and commercialisation to researchers
  • Work with internal and external legal advice to review collaboration agreement issues
  • Manage IP for specific cases, working with patent agents
  • Support other team members with technology transfer activities
  • Support industrial partnerships and reagents portfolio management
  • Provide entrepreneurial training and support due diligence reviews

Requirements

  • Degree in life sciences with additional qualification in business or law (advantageous)
  • Significant experience in technology transfer, commercialisation of IP, and patent portfolios
  • Experience in negotiating commercialisation licences and spin-out creation
  • Ability to communicate complex information on IP and commercialisation
