Job Description

**Job Title:** Highway Design Engineer Contract

**Job Type:** Part-time, 24-month fixed-term contract

**Location:** North East Lincolnshire region

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a confident and motivated Highway Design Engineer to join our team at Prosper Recruitment. As a Highway Design Engineer, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary design consultancy working on contracts in the North East Lincolnshire region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver highway designs through AutoCAD & associated design packages including Key Line & Key Sign.
  • Prepare tender packages including drawings, bills of quantities, specifications, and Pre-Construction Health & Safety Plans.
  • Ensure all designs are in accordance with current design standards.
  • Undertake site supervision of highway and infrastructure projects.
  • Be involved in project management and technical delivery of projects from inception through to completion of project.
  • Manage and co-ordinate personal workload to achieve project deliverables within the agreed time, quality, and financial objectives.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in design and management of highway projects.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Key Signs & Key Lines.
  • Knowledge and understanding of DMRB design standards.
  • Experience of delivery works for local authorities.
  • Knowledge and experience of producing geometric highway designs using AutoCAD Civil3D.
