Job Description

Job Title: Chief Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at Meliá Hotels International. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our hotel facilities, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, and meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Authorize the purchase of technical products and supervise their correct use and expenditure.
  • Monitor hotel energy consumption and ensure the proper use and performance of facilities.
  • Work with the General Manager to monitor and control technical and legal standards applicable to facilities and buildings, including HACCP and OHS.
  • Update the data room with information on hotel operations.
  • Collaborate on departmental review points during audits and establish action plans to address reported issues.
  • Analyze and solve possible incidents that may arise within the department.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in hotel maintenance.
  • Highly knowledgeable in all elements of hotel maintenance.
  • Experience with energy efficiency tools.
  • Budget preparation and management skills.
