Perth, Perth and Kinross, United Kingdom The Richmond Fellowship Scotland Full time

Join The Richmond Fellowship Scotland and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals within our community by becoming a Community Support Assistant. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for various roles including Full Time, Part Time, and Bank Staff.

No prior experience in the care sector is necessary, as we provide comprehensive training through our esteemed learning and development team. This training includes both classroom instruction and e-learning, along with opportunities to shadow experienced Community Support Assistants to gain insight into the role and the individuals you will be supporting.

In addition to the initial training, we will support you in achieving your SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, fully funded by us.

Flexibility is essential, as shifts will vary, including early, back, late, and sleepover shifts. We offer a range of hours to suit your availability, including Full Time, Part Time, and Bank.

We encourage applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds and are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace for all. We welcome applicants regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, disability, age, marital status, parental status, or sexual orientation. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment that celebrates diversity and promotes inclusive teams.

About the Role:

As a Community Support Assistant, your duties may include:

  • Social Engagement: Assisting individuals in participating in community activities by organizing and attending outings to various recreational venues such as day centres, cinemas, and swimming pools.
  • Health Support: Administering and overseeing medication for individuals.
  • Personal Care: Supporting individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and wellbeing, which includes assistance with bathing, dressing, and arranging medical appointments.
  • Practical Assistance: Aiding individuals in managing their households by encouraging participation in daily tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping.

Key Benefits:

  • Access to the TRFS rewards scheme, offering cash-back and discounts at various retailers.
  • Refer a Friend scheme with a financial bonus.

All successful applicants will receive a conditional offer, pending satisfactory references and background checks. A prior conviction does not automatically disqualify you from consideration for this role.

New employees will be required to register with the SSSC within six months of their start date.
