About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Manager to join our Client Partner team at Velo, a leading B2B marketing agency based in London Bridge. As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for leading client relationships, driving growth and retention strategies, and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day interactions for your assigned clients/accounts, building strategic client relationships at a senior level.
  • Assist in developing growth and retention strategies for your accounts, including defining clear account development plans and understanding client business objectives.
  • Handle client expectations, queries, issues, and escalations quickly and efficiently, with managerial guidance as needed.
  • Ensure all project milestones, billable amounts, and POs are accurately reflected and consistently up to date in the Sales Ledger.
  • Set up and lead on weekly client calls/check-ins, driving milestones and timings to ensure work is delivered on time and on budget.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of existing Velo processes and recommend more efficient working practices and processes on a regular basis.
  • Brief the Studio directly, through creative and production briefs, and know when to engage and delegate to specialists.
  • Use digital marketing expertise to identify and capitalise on sales opportunities with assigned clients, writing and presenting commercial proposals where appropriate.
  • Provide support, guidance, and mentoring for junior and newer members of the team, managing requirements and expectations as to any involvement they may have on your accounts.
  • Drive your own training plan to keep your knowledge relevant and current, proactively sharing and presenting your insights and learnings with the wider team.

Requirements
  • B2B experience is a must.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience to inspire and motivate the team.
  • A strategic mindset and the ability to simplify complex challenges.
  • Comfort working with senior-level decision-makers to diagnose their marketing problems and lead the agency's teams to solve them.
  • Deliver well-crafted and robust briefs.
  • Be within a commutable distance of our London Bridge office.
  • Can evidence experience of working on both brand and digital projects, particularly website projects.
