We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Meridian Business Support. As a key member of our Finance Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Financial Controller in managing the balance sheet reconciliation and review process, escalating any non-compliance or issues identified.
- Communicate and action changes to the Delegated Authority Limits.
- Assist in managing the external audit alongside the Financial Controller, including Interim, Hardclose, Year-End, and Statutory Accounts visits.
- Deliver the month-end financial results in accordance with prescribed deadlines.
- Take responsibility for own accounting areas and report the results in the Magnitude group reporting package.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting treatment and reporting rules.
- Prepare the annual Statutory Accounts in accordance with prescribed accounting standards and deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual Corporation Tax return, quarterly VAT returns, and ad hoc tax queries.
- Qualified Financial Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or part-qualified accountant with a strong technical accounting background.
- Excellent communication and technical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
