About GSL Education

GSL Education is a leading provider of educational services, dedicated to delivering high-quality support to schools and students. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team in Braintree.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring a smooth and productive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning atmosphere, promoting student engagement and motivation.
  • Provide support and assistance to students as needed, helping them to stay on task and achieve their academic goals.
  • Liaise with teaching staff and school management to ensure effective cover arrangements, maintaining open communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Experience working in an educational setting, preferably as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to manage behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
