About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CBT Nurse Therapist to provide specialized care for individuals with eating disorders within our Adult Eating Disorder Service. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking service that utilizes evidence-based treatments and delivers high-quality, safe, and timely interventions.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients referred to the Eating Disorders Service, ensuring their suitability for psychological therapy.
- Develop and implement individualized CBT treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
- Provide evidence-based therapy sessions, utilizing advanced communication skills to effectively engage with clients and facilitate their recovery.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, social workers, and other therapists, to ensure holistic care for each client.
- Educate and involve family members in the treatment process, promoting a supportive environment for healing.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of best practices within the service, staying abreast of current research and advancements in eating disorder treatment.
