We are currently in search of a dedicated and proficient Electrical Maintenance Technician to enhance our team.
In this role, you will be tasked with executing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), addressing reactive maintenance issues, managing small-scale projects, and responding to help desk inquiries to ensure the efficient functioning of the building's electrical, fire safety, and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing maintenance and urgent repairs of electrical, fire safety, and mechanical building services and related equipment.
- Collaborating with administrative personnel to ensure prompt resolution and completion of PPM and reactive tasks.
- Documenting all engineering activities and incidents for review by the Shift Leader.
- Prioritizing and executing PPM tasks within established service level agreements (SLAs), while adhering to engineering standards and regulations to optimize operational efficiency and reliability.
- Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations and organizational standards.
- Ensuring quality assurance protocols are followed, keeping precise records and documentation related to work activities.
- Responding swiftly to urgent maintenance requests and help desk inquiries.
- Coordinating with specialized subcontractors and evaluating engineering reports and recommendations with the shift leader.
- Fostering and maintaining positive relationships with all building occupants, addressing requests and instructions in a constructive manner.
Required Qualifications:
- Familiarity with critical business assets such as UPS systems, emergency power generation, and air conditioning systems.
- Completion of HSE accredited or recognized training courses.
- Experience in the electrical and mechanical domains of commercial building systems.
- Understanding of building management system (BMS) controls and their interdependencies.
- Demonstrated success in a comparable position.
- Strong communication skills.
