Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Supply Desk. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a nurturing and supportive environment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide individualized support to students with complex learning difficulties, communicating effectively with parents and teachers to ensure the best possible outcomes. You will work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs), adapting your teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient and nurturing support to students with complex learning difficulties
  • Communicate effectively with parents and teachers to ensure the best possible outcomes
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teaching staff
  • Adapt teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care
  • Assist with pupil supervision before and after school and during breaks
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of SEN and a passion for helping students thrive
  • NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (unqualified candidates are welcome to apply)
  • Experience supporting social and emotional development in children
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated to making a positive impact in students' lives
  • Able to commute to Milton Keynes
  • Current valid DBS or willingness to obtain one
