About the Position

Sense is seeking a Lead Database Specialist to enhance our dedicated team. This is a permanent, hybrid role, requiring one day a week in the office. The successful applicant will be instrumental in addressing the department's intricate and diverse data needs.

This dynamic role demands the ability to manage and advance multiple projects concurrently.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver data selections and exports to all teams within the Supporter Engagement division; therefore, a robust working knowledge and experience with Raiser's Edge is crucial.

This is an exciting phase for the team as we prepare to transition to Microsoft Dynamics, and the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping this process and supporting the change.

Main Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Data Manager and all Supporter Engagement teams to ensure accurate, timely, and clean data selections following an established process.
- Actively communicate with supporter-facing teams to clarify upcoming selections and identify potential overlaps among audience segments.
- Utilize this insight to advocate for the supporters' interests during the planning and development stages of all campaigns.
- Work with customer teams to generate precise inclusion queries for data extraction.

- Understand and maintain accurate suppression queries to ensure compliance with legal obligations and best practices expected by our supporters.

- Format data exports to ensure consistent structures before releasing selections to internal stakeholders.
- Conduct quality control on data selections to guarantee accuracy prior to distribution to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Extensive experience with the Raiser's Edge database, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the single customer view.
- Strong knowledge of how data can be leveraged to drive various income streams across different audiences.
- Proven track record of delivering multi-segment data selections accurately and punctually in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear understanding of data protection regulations and other relevant frameworks.
- Solid grasp of direct marketing practices.
- Experience in providing database training and documentation to users.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a logical and investigative approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent time management and coordination abilities.
- Experience in translating client data requirements into a functional technical framework with associated hierarchies and suppressions.
