Clinical Skills Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation of our workforce plan and ensuring the development of competencies and skills within our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical education and training to AHPs, ensuring they meet the required clinical competencies.
- Support the development of clinical supervision and practice education, ensuring effective delivery of the workforce plan.
- Collaborate with academic link lecturers to ensure apprentices and learners meet relevant professional and academic standards.
- Provide support and advice to teams on the roles of new staff, ensuring patient allocation to meet competency practice.
- Deliver Preceptorship and clinical skills training to meet the NCH&C's Clinical Competency framework.
- Support the development of clinical supervision required for effective delivery of the workforce plan.
- Provide staff with appropriate information, advice, and guidance relating to learning opportunities within the Trust.
- Assist in evaluations to inform the provision of future education and learning programs.
- AHP with HCPC registration.
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Practice Educator.
- Mentoring or coaching qualification.
- Post-Graduate Certificate in Education.
- Theoretical and practical experience of service improvement and project delivery.
- Experience in course and curriculum design.
- Experience of teaching and facilitation of clinical skills to a wide range of staff within a healthcare setting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Evidence of change management skills and ability to deliver service improvements.
- Proven workload and diary management.
- Clinical reasoning and understanding of evidence-based best practice.
- Enthusiasm and passion for teaching.
- Ability to capture project issues and risk and help to bring these to a resolution.
- Able to communicate effectively in written and verbal English language.
- Ability to receive and impart complex information in a way best suited to the target audience.
- Ability to motivate staff, in particular those resistant to change.
- Capacity to work with colleagues at all levels.
- Exemplary personal standards of conduct.
- Ability to work on own initiative while maintaining a team approach.
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to meet the requirements of the role.
