Job Title: Director of Transport Planning and Development

We are seeking an experienced Director of Transport Planning and Development to lead our Development Planning discipline in Birmingham.

About the Role:

As a Director of Transport Planning and Development, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of our development planning discipline in Birmingham, in line with our company vision. You will undertake business development to acquire new clients, manage and expand existing accounts, and provide technical expertise to prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development planning discipline in Birmingham, providing technical expertise and strategic direction.
  • Undertake business development to acquire new clients and expand existing accounts.
  • Oversee the commercial, managerial, and technical functions of a development planning team.
  • Provide technical understanding of the UK planning environment to prospective clients.
  • Manage and expand existing accounts, and provide full technical understanding of the UK planning environment to prospective clients.
Requirements:
  • In-depth working knowledge of the UK planning environment.
  • Experience in leading and inspiring teams of transport planners.
  • A proven record of winning new business in the industry.
