Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics Engineer with a strong electronics bias to join our team at Teledyne UK Limited. As a key member of our equipment engineering team, you will provide technical support to shift equipment engineers, covering all areas of silicon wafer processing equipment, package and test.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to shift equipment engineers, covering all areas of silicon wafer processing equipment, package and test.
  • Lead and participate in equipment installations, improvements, and solve underlying equipment issues.
  • Work hands-on with gases, chemicals, robotics, vacuum, electrical, and electronics.
  • Manage your own time and workload efficiently, with excellent organisational skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Teledyne and external engineers to resolve complex issues.
  • Produce risk assessments for all equipment and host and control contractors, reviewing their method statements and risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a multi-disciplined role with a strong electronics skill.
  • Minimum of HNC in electronics.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, with full gowning required.
  • Self-contained Breathing apparatus training and medical clearance required.
  • Non-smokers preferred, with no makeup allowed.
