Job Title: Technical Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Trainer to join our team at Nationwide Platforms. As a Technical Trainer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality training to our engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to operate our fleet of powered access equipment safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training programs for our engineers, covering topics such as pre-delivery/post-hire inspection, tech electrics, tech hydraulics, and tech schematics.
  • Design and maintain courseware to ensure it remains current and relevant to our industry.
  • Deliver a minimum of 100 training days per year, including face-to-face, virtual, and online training sessions.
  • Project manage the completion of small training programs and plan and execute Train the Trainer (TtT) sessions as required.
  • Prepare training materials with risk assessments for classroom and practical facilities, and conduct tests/assessments to required standard.
Qualifications and Experience:

We are looking for a candidate with a base level of formal qualification in an aligned area, such as heavy plant and equipment maintenance, powered access, or fork truck operation. You will also need good interpersonal skills, an open and inquisitive approach to work, and the ability to deal with ambiguity and change.

Desirable requirements include extensive experience of powered access engineering, good Microsoft Office skills, and experience of coaching, mentoring, tutoring, or teaching within a business or learning establishment.
