Position Overview:

Your Role:

As an Analytical Scientist in our dynamic Organics Wing, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding Scotland's water supply. Your responsibilities will include:

1. **Conducting Analyses:** Utilize advanced laboratory instruments such as LCMS, GCMS, and TRI-CARB LSC to perform a variety of chemical tests.
2. **Prioritizing Work:** Manage and prioritize testing workloads within your team to ensure timely results.
3. **Instrument Maintenance:** Oversee routine maintenance of laboratory equipment to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
4. **Data Interpretation:** Translate analytical results into understandable formats for stakeholders, adhering to ISO standards.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

- A passion for scientific inquiry and a strong foundation in chemical testing and analysis, ideally supported by an HND or degree in a relevant scientific field.
- Experience in an ISO 17025 or GLP-accredited laboratory is advantageous.
- A commitment to health and safety practices in the workplace.
