Job Title: Handy Person

We are seeking a skilled Handy Person to join our team at Liquid. As a Handy Person, you will be responsible for undertaking repairs and maintenance works to our properties in London and Herts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake repairs and maintenance works to company properties in London and Herts.
  • Provide a first-class responsive repairs and maintenance service, ensuring the maintenance service is delivered in response to the diverse needs of residents and customers.
  • Operate an appropriate vehicle to clear waste from properties and communal sites to enable necessary works to commence.
  • Undertake clearance of all rubbish and abandoned tenant possessions from void properties.
  • Undertake minor repairs to block holes within dwellings to prevent pests entering properties (i.e. Pest proofing) and communal areas as instructed.
  • Deliver materials, tools, and large items to properties to enable works to be undertaken.
  • Respond to emergencies, such as fire alarms, making property secure, water leaks, etc.
Requirements:
  • A good standard of education commensurate to the knowledge and skills and experience required to do the job.
  • Knowledge of basic construction and property maintenance techniques.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety issues relating to property maintenance.
  • Understanding of issues of data protection and client confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
  • Ability to carry out basic property repairs to a high standard.
  • Basic IT and administration skills.
  • Experience of working in a handy person role with similar responsibility.
  • Dealing with the public in a customer-facing role.
