Job Overview
As a Marketing Specialist within our publishing division, you will play a crucial role in fostering revenue enhancement among our university and library clientele. Collaborating closely with our sales and marketing teams, you will strategize, develop, and implement communication initiatives that boost the visibility, utilization, and sales of our publishing offerings, publications, and services targeted at research and academic communities. This position demands a creative and analytical professional capable of articulating the value of our products to librarians, researchers, and institutional decision-makers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Campaign Execution: Design, implement, and assess targeted marketing initiatives, including email outreach, webinars, advertising, and events, with an emphasis on driving revenue.
- Performance Analysis: Track and evaluate the success of marketing initiatives using analytical tools, delivering regular reports and actionable insights to enhance effectiveness and stimulate sales.
- Content Development: Collaborate with the broader marketing, sales, product, and design teams to produce engaging marketing materials across diverse channels, such as printed content, presentation slides, email communications, social media, and advertisements.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with the Marketing Engagement Executive to outline processes and trigger points for audience segments, creating email automations for lead generation and engagement campaigns.
- Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the publishing marketing and sales teams to devise and execute strategies that align with sales goals, including lead generation, e-commerce, customer acquisition, and retention initiatives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Comprehensive understanding of marketing strategies and communication channels, preferably within the publishing or academic sectors.
- Proficient copywriting abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and teams.
- Commercially driven, analytical, and proactive.
- Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools and website content management systems is advantageous.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
- A degree in marketing, publishing, or a CIM qualification is preferred.
