Position:
Skilled Metal Fabricator
Overview:
Central Recruitment is in search of proficient metal fabricators and welders to play a vital role in the creation of a wide array of products, including substantial steel fabrications for prominent industry clients.
Core Responsibilities:
- Performing gas metal arc welding (MAG) to create high-quality components and assemblies
- Accurate cutting of materials to meet specified dimensions and thicknesses
- Welding and joining metals and other materials up to 100mm thick for various constructions
- Following engineering drawings, plans, and work instructions meticulously
- Expert operation of welding machinery and other relevant equipment
- Dismantling metal structures as necessary
- Ensuring a clean and safe working environment by maintaining tools, equipment, and workspace
- Strict adherence to safety regulations by utilizing appropriate protective gear
- Ability to work efficiently in both workshop settings and on construction sites
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in fabrication and MIG welding
- TIG welding skills are advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately
- Excellent time management and organizational capabilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant industry certifications (CSCS, CPCS, ICATS, IPAF, PASMA, PTS)
Working Hours:
- Standard shift: 7:30am – 4:30pm (Monday to Thursday), 7:30am – 12:30pm (Friday)
- Backshift: 5:00pm – 3:30am (Sunday to Thursday)
Job Types:
Permanent, Temp to perm
Compensation:
£15.18-£16.41 per hour
Expected Hours:
40 per week
