Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Manufacturing

At Premier Engineering, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with manufacturing skills to join our team on a permanent basis.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and manufacturing, with a proven track record of designing and developing products. They will be responsible for supporting the engineering and production team, providing engineering support, and using SolidWorks CAD software on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the engineering and production team with the design and development of products
  • Provide engineering support to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing processes
  • Use SolidWorks CAD software to design and develop products
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and ISO9001 quality standards
Requirements:
  • NVQ/HNC/HND/degree qualification in mechanical engineering
  • 4+ years' experience in a similar design and manufacturing role
  • Proficient in SolidWorks CAD software
  • Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and ISO9001 quality standards
