Newport Norse is a successful collaboration between Norse Group and Newport City Council, dedicated to delivering exceptional cleaning services throughout the region.

We are seeking to hire a skilled Custodial Staff member for West Glan Llyn Primary in Newport. Your primary role will be to maintain the cleanliness and security of the premises, executing various cleaning tasks as needed.

  • Uphold high cleanliness standards.
  • Notify the Area Supervisor of any defects or concerns.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.

This role is offered on a part-time, permanent basis, requiring 15 hours of work each week. Shift Pattern: 15:30 - 18:30, Monday to Friday.

We provide comprehensive training for those new to the industry; however, we prefer candidates with:

  • Prior experience in a cleaning or janitorial role.
  • Familiarity with health & safety regulations pertinent to the position, including the use of appropriate machinery and cleaning products.
  • Capability to work independently, managing your own tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable interacting with the public and clients.
