Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and oversee the Integrated Asset Care Contract at Sellafield, a 4+1 year & £250M sanction framework delivered by OneAIM (a joint venture between Mitie and Jacobs).

The scope includes mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering projects, with individual jobs, tasks, and projects ranging from hundreds to several million pounds. As the Subcontracts Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing the successful running and commercial control of each project, coordinating usage and approach of existing and future subcontractors, and supporting accurate project management through budgeting and reporting.

You will liaise with Operations & Commercial to ensure Subcontracts are raised in line with demand and operational requirements, and be the main point of contact for discussions with Subcontractors. Your responsibilities will also include developing and growing the IAC Subcontract capability, working with Subcontractors to understand support required, and monitoring changes to the market.

About the Role

  • Excellent understanding of projects and their lifecycle, with the ability to support and manage subcontractors and interpret design drawings.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other system-based information services, as well as a strong commercial understanding and ability to interpret NEC3 contracts.
  • Good supplier management skills, following industry best practices and guidelines.
  • Commercial/Construction related qualification or equivalent, with knowledge and experience managing subcontractors in a heavily regulated environment.
