About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance Group at our Billingham Manufacturing site in the UK. As an Electrical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance Execution
  • Install, inspect, and test all types of electrical equipment, including cable containment, wiring, and electrical panels.
  • Perform routine maintenance on control and power distribution panels and electrical systems, and carry out repairs and reactive maintenance in the event of breakdowns, faults, and malfunctions.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults, and replace damaged components as needed.
  • Perform isolations, de-isolations at LV and HV (on single-ended drives).
  • Raise and complete Work Orders, and update databases as required.
  • Raise requests for materials for the routine execution of work.
  • Conduct inspections and record keeping as part of a preventive maintenance programme.
  • Assist in the upkeep of plant drawings and documentation by reporting errors to supervision.
  • Participate in training to enhance skills and meet company competency requirements.
  • Review and assist in the upkeep of Technical Data and manuals.
Turnarounds and Events
  • Carry out turnaround maintenance tasks safely, on-schedule, and according to work packs, company standards, and good practice.
  • Execute tasks associated with the shutdown Tech Team as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements in a COMAH top tier site and a detailed understanding of how CF complies with these through site procedures, rules, and expectations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical safety risks and familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Competent Person 'A' status under FW66.
  • Partially authorised person under the CF HV Rules.
  • Experience using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Proficient user of MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and well-developed written and oral communication skills.
