As a Youth Support Worker, your daily activities may extend beyond the confines of our Residential Children's Homes... whether it's exploring scenic trails, enjoying a movie, or experiencing the thrill of a theme park, the possibilities are endless and tailored to the interests of our young people.
Your primary responsibilities and expectations include, but are not limited to:
- Promoting, safeguarding, and protecting the welfare of our young individuals
- Establishing and nurturing positive and trusting relationships with the children
- Encouraging the development of each child's unique interests
- A willingness to learn, as we provide comprehensive training to help you achieve a Childcare Diploma Level / Apprenticeship Level
What do we require from you?
- Experience in supporting vulnerable young individuals is preferred but not mandatory
- A clear understanding and commitment to the role, including availability on weekends and bank holidays
- Ability to undertake sleep-in duties as part of a flexible schedule
- Engaging in activities that ensure our young people feel at home
- Capability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive team-oriented attitude
- A desire to engage, motivate, and inspire the young individuals in our care
