We collaborate with leading organizations such as Octopus Energy, Volvo Belux, Volkswagen, and other forward-thinking brands to drive positive change in the energy sector.

The Role: Data Engineer

We are seeking a talented and driven Data Engineer to join our expanding Data team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our data infrastructure and developing internal data products that are essential to Ohme's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, software engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures within the AWS cloud environment.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), to automate the deployment and management of data infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the development of internal data products that are central to Ohme's value proposition.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems to ensure reliability, efficiency, and data integrity.

Requirements:

  • Proven professional experience as a data engineer, with a demonstrated track record of building data platforms and APIs within AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Eventbridge, DynamoDB) and Snowflake.
  • Strong proficiency in IaC (AWS CDK preferred) and Python programming.
  • Familiarity with common software engineering practices (environment separation, CICD, TDD, Agile way of working).
  • Comfort working with Git and the command line.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A strong engineering mindset and a passion for coaching and mentoring others.
  • Knowledge of the electric vehicle industry is a valuable asset.
