About This Role

We are seeking a talented Data Platform Architect to join our team here at UBDS Group. As a Data Platform Architect you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of our Data and AI services. You will work closely with clients, adhering to data engineering best practices and taking responsibility for the low-level design and development of client data platforms and ETL/ELT pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust data platform solutions, encompassing data storage, ETL pipelines, and data models. Ensure these solutions effectively serve client needs and integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data platforms.
  • Lead the development and implementation of secure, scalable, and efficient data pipelines using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in data engineering, cloud computing, and related fields. Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance our data platform capabilities.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the data engineering team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying data platforms at scale.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles, database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for data engineering and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
