In this role, you will deliver employment recovery support to individuals facing mental health issues. Your responsibilities will include promoting the service and developing robust working relationships with external partners while overseeing your own caseload. With a comprehensive understanding of local resources, service providers, and employers, your objective will be to enhance the potential of individuals and ultimately assist them in securing paid employment. You will engage closely with referral agents to advocate for the service and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies.

We positively influence the lives of individuals with mental health needs in our communities across England. Our dedicated and enthusiastic workforce is committed to delivering high-quality services to those requiring support. At MHM, our focus is on people; our staff are essential in providing the best care and service to those who seek our assistance.

Role Expectations

The Employment Recovery Worker will work 35 hours per week, with service hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The salary for this position starts at £24,960, with opportunities for progression up to £27,560 per annum. The role is hybrid, covering the County Durham area.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience in community-based or employability-focused services, demonstrating a commitment to empowering individuals on their recovery journey. You should possess the ability to identify challenges, understand individual needs, and motivate clients while promoting their independence. Responsibilities will include one-on-one engagement, coordinating activities within the service and community, administrative tasks, and guiding individuals to appropriate resources. You will also assist individuals in maintaining employment and work with employers to promote mental well-being in the workplace.

You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with substantial experience in partnership and multi-agency collaboration. A strong knowledge of local resources, service providers, and employers is essential, along with the ability to work closely with various community support teams and agencies to ensure optimal assistance. A proven track record in delivering results through assessment, planning, and facilitating recovery-focused activities is required. Experience working with individuals with diverse complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse, learning disabilities, and physical health issues, is also necessary. A qualification of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is essential.
