Job Description

Orb Recruitment is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Vehicle Fitters to join our client's workforce in Doncaster. Due to rapid growth and increased workload, our client is looking for skilled individuals to work on various methods of vehicle conversion, including welfare vehicles, crew carriers, racking installations, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Internal Fitting: Racking Systems, Flooring, Load Locks, Silicone Fastening, Kitchens, Toilets, Sanitizing Stations, Seating, and some wiring.
  • External Fitting: Control Panel Installation, Stairs, Bay lifts.
  • Daily use of Hand & Power tools: Drills, Tape Measure, Screwdrivers, Spanners, Wrenches, and more.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring products are assembled to tight specifications before delivery to the end customer.
  • Working to specific measurements and timelines.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Advise on any amendments to drawings/panels.
  • Notify supervisor of potential improvements to build method.
  • Carry out duties in line with Health and Safety requirements and notify supervisor of potential Health & Safety issues.
  • Log on and off correct SFDC operation in line with company policy.
  • Adhere to relevant ISO / QMS process.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience working to tight measurements and deadlines.
  • Experience working with both Hand and Power tools.
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • Good understanding of the conversion process, or knowledge of vehicles.
Working Hours:

This position offers a 4-day working week, Monday to Wednesday, 06:00 am - 06:00 pm, and Thursday, 06:00 am - 06:00 pm, resulting in a 39-hour week.

Pay:

This position pays a starting rate of £12.50 per hour, which may be higher depending on experience and skillset.
