Role Overview:
Support the Hotel Operations Manager in overseeing all front office functions, including guest registration, welcoming services, business center operations, telephone management, concierge duties, and guest reservations, to create a memorable guest experience that embodies our brand. Additionally, provide assistance in the food and beverage sector during your shifts.
At Arena Racing Company, we seek individuals who are friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic; those who consistently strive to enhance every guest's experience.
You will be responsible for managing the venue during non-peak times and will serve as the primary contact for any guest inquiries or issues.
This position requires close collaboration with the Wolverhampton Racecourse Management Team to ensure that standards are upheld and innovative ideas are shared across the venue, maximizing the operational performance of both the racecourse and hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Hotel Operations Manager in monitoring budgets and controlling labor costs and expenditures.
- Collaborate with the F&B team to boost Food & Beverage revenue, particularly focusing on non-resident sales.
- Support daily staffing needs, plan and delegate tasks, and set performance and development objectives for team members.
- Educate and train staff on compliance with local regulations and health & safety standards, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Ensure front-of-house staff deliver prompt, professional service and personalized attention to guests.
- Greet guests upon arrival and engage with them to enhance their experience.
- Conduct regular inspections of front-of-house and public areas, taking immediate action to rectify any issues.
- Verify billing instructions and guest credit adherence to hotel policies, ensuring secure handling of all transactions.
- Train team members on payment procedures and act as a central communication point during emergencies.
- This role is integral to our guest services at a full-service hotel and racecourse, reporting directly to the Hotel Operations Manager.
