About the Position

Become a vital part of the security team at Securitas Security Services, a renowned provider in the security industry. We are currently seeking a skilled and committed Safety and Security Specialist to enhance our operations. This position offers a structured work schedule of 5 days on, 2 days off followed by 4 days on, 3 days off, ensuring a minimum of 42 hours per week.

As a proficient Safety and Security Specialist with at least 3 years of relevant experience, your proactive mindset, approachable nature, and supportive attitude will make you an essential member of our team. Your dedication to upholding safety and security aligns perfectly with our core mission. If you currently hold SC clearance or are capable of obtaining it, you are the perfect fit to help us maintain a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will encompass:

  • Welcoming all personnel, visitors, and contractors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Adapting swiftly to changing priorities and situations
  • Preventing unauthorized access to the premises
  • Monitoring fire alarms, security alarms, and surveillance systems
  • Conducting regular patrols and security checks
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols, documenting and reporting any hazards
  • Maintaining accurate logs and records, ensuring timely completion of paperwork and effective handover processes
  • Reporting any faults, safety hazards, and unsafe practices to management
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management
  • Providing assistance, guidance, and information to all personnel while ensuring the security of the premises
  • Remaining vigilant to identify and deter any suspicious or threatening behavior
  • Managing incidents as they occur
Essential Qualifications
  • Valid SIA Licence
  • Ability to commute reasonably (or possess a driving licence)
  • 3 years of experience in security
  • SC clearance, or the ability to obtain it
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • A verifiable five-year employment history or the ability to provide documentation for any periods of unemployment
