Job Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Operations Leader to become an integral part of our Supply Chain management team. This role involves overseeing a dedicated group of approximately 5 to 6 professionals who are responsible for ensuring timely delivery across a diverse supplier portfolio while also enhancing material integrity within our operational processes.

The Logistics Operations Leader will play a pivotal role in driving on-time delivery metrics through proactive management of order flows, supplier engagement, and collaboration with key stakeholders across a network of around 150 active suppliers spanning multiple value streams. This position significantly influences overall operational performance and is crucial to the success of our initiatives.

As a senior escalation point for supplier delivery challenges, the Logistics Operations Leader will require strong leadership and collaborative skills to foster improvements and effectively communicate updates. Experience in managing complex supplier recovery initiatives across various commodities is essential. This role will also involve cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders to mitigate risks related to supply shortages and part availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Supply Chain professionals (approximately 5 members)

• Oversee 'Material Integrity', ensuring product availability and inventory management

• Maintain comprehensive understanding and oversight of 'Buy Part Coverage' and 'Orderbook Alignment'

• Develop and articulate supplier performance metrics and delivery commitments that align with business needs, collaborating across the organization to resolve issues

• Inspire innovative solutions to complex challenges that may affect the organization

• Assess the quality of information received and challenge conflicting data for thorough analysis

• Utilize various internal and external resources beyond own function to inform decision-making

• Establish risk management strategies and drive accountability through effective action plans

• Engage in sourcing initiatives and contribute to strategic planning

• Facilitate daily team meetings, providing updates on operational status

• Participate in site escalation and customer review meetings

• Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively across functions, influence stakeholders, and lead small teams

• Collaborate with Supplier Development and Commercial Sourcing teams to enhance strategic supplier relationships

• This position may necessitate significant global travel

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Extensive experience in Sourcing/Procurement and Supply Chain Management

• Proven track record in leading and engaging teams

• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, influence others, and lead small teams

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems

• Experience in Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies

• Prior experience in people management

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

• Strong project management capabilities
