Geo-Environmental Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geo-Environmental Specialist to join our team at RSK Group. As a Geo-Environmental Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering a variety of geo-environmental projects for both external clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in geo-environmental projects, including ground investigations and desk studies
  • Assist with soil logging, laboratory scheduling, and soil sampling
  • Conduct water monitoring and sampling
  • Prepare factual and interpretative reports
  • Develop geotechnical reporting requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with contaminated land legislation and reporting requirements
  • Prepare factual site investigation data
  • Travel to other offices and sites within the UK as needed

Requirements:

  • BSc or equivalent in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • MSc desirable but not essential
  • Working towards membership of a relevant professional body with a goal to move towards chartership
  • Basic knowledge of planning legislation
  • Experience in site inspections and reporting, preferably on residential developments
  • Able to complete factual and interpretative assessments to a basic level
  • Able to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy
  • Track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget
  • In possession of a full UK driving license
