Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will provide personal care and support to a disabled lady, including assistance with showering, dressing, and catheter care, as well as help with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and household tasks. The role also involves supporting the lady's 17-year-old son, who suffers from ME, nose bleeds, and chronic tiredness.

Main Duties:
  • Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, and catheter care
  • Help with grocery shopping and meal preparation
  • Support with household tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and gardening
  • Assist with social and leisure activities, including attending social events and medical appointments
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to the lady and her son
Person Specification:

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Sensible and supportive
  • Easy going with a sense of humour
  • Caring, understanding, and compassionate
  • Trained in medication support and super pubic catheter care
  • Not overpowering and intimidating
  • Good with a 17-year-old boy
  • Helps with organizing
  • Has a clean driving license
Terms and Conditions:
  • Reimbursement for agreed expenses
  • Rate of pay: £809.94 per week
  • Live-in carer arrangement on a week-on, week-off basis
  • Satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Satisfactory passing of mandatory training care courses
  • Satisfactory references from two referees
