Castlefield Recruitment is currently working with a London-based Local Authority to identify a Strategic Capital Finance Business Partner to join their Senior Leadership Team and lead the Council's Capital investment programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a sound and robust financial plan for the annual capital budget.
  • Lead a team of 3 finance staff and provide budgetary control.
  • Support the Deputy S151 and deputise as required.
  • Manage service level budgets and resources.
  • Lead on small capital projects, implementing changes and improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management Team and attend meetings with senior stakeholders and elected officials.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has completed a relevant professional qualification.
  • Has a strong understanding of Local Authority Capital Accounting.
  • Has extensive Local Government Finance experience.
