The Business Systems Team operates within the Finance and Business Support division of Network Rail. This role is part of the Solutions & Training team, dedicated to facilitating the integration and utilization of innovative web systems for our stakeholders in Supply Chain Operations and Contracts & Procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Business Systems Project Lead, your primary duties will include:
- Providing comprehensive training and managing business transformation initiatives related to Network Rail's proprietary systems.
- Overseeing project implementation throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and realistic timelines.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, while working closely with suppliers and internal development teams to devise effective solutions.
- Offering strategic and tactical guidance to various functions regarding business systems to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Managing system testing protocols, ensuring that new and upgraded systems accurately meet business requirements.
- Supporting the identification and execution of quality and efficiency enhancement initiatives to promote continuous improvement and LEAN methodologies within the organization.
- Coordinating and leading stakeholder engagement activities, including user groups, workshops, and feedback sessions to foster customer relationships and maintain open communication channels.
- Creating training plans and materials, scheduling, and delivering training sessions to users of Network Rail's systems, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and access relevant to their roles.
